The role

Responsible for managing material supply in support of NPI projects run by the Project Management Department. As a member of the Planning team, you will be also responsible for receipt of demand from commercial and creation & management of detailed supply plans that ensure customer delivery on time in full.

Main responsibilities

  • To liaise directly with PCI’s internal departments and external customers (E.G. Purchasing, Logistics, Analytical Services and Quality) with regards to schedule preparation.

  • Provide clear and concise feedback to Operational groups with regards to issues that have the potential to affect delivery of the master schedule (E.G. material delivery, material testing).

  • Responsible for management of routine artwork / material changes.

  • Pro-active management of preparatory documentation (provision of hand-written data, works orders, shortage reports, picking lists) to enable schedule adherence.

  • Creation / amendment of master batch records to support rework, artwork / item code changes & non-technical update.

  • Management and implementation of routine data management to allow system efficiency and information accuracy.

  • Monitor performance and report against planned schedules through company computer information systems, identifying any constraints on a regular basis.

  • Prepare regular reports for support of performance measures highlighting any future shortfalls or opportunities within a timely manner to Senior Management team.

  • Chair regular planning meetings ensuring effective communication and feedback between Operations and support services (Logistics, Quality, and Analytical Services).

  • Continually developing systems and procedures through continuous improvements in a bid to enhance performance.

  • To comply with all Company Policies and Management instructions relating to internal and external Health & Safety, Environmental Standards and Operational requirements as required.

Qualifications

  • GMP Skill Level 1 is essential for this role.

  • Knowledge/experience of finite capacity planning.

  • Qualifications in Supply Chain is desirable.

  • Knowledge of bills of materials/planning parameters.

  • Proficient in IT Systems.

  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.

  • Ability to act on own initiative and as part of a team.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to adhere to external and internal deadlines.
