Our Human Resources Department focuses on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it. We're in search of a qualified and resourceful Human Resources Specialist to support our HR Department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Specialist should possess a diverse skill set in order to support multiple areas of Human Resources throughout the organization, and will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, and benefits.

  • Serve as a point of contact and develop partnerships with all levels of management in order to provide necessary coaching, guidance and support.

  • Assist with any performance management coaching to supervisors and managers.

  • Assist both union and non-union personnel with inquiries related to compensation and benefits.

  • Track employees paid time off utilizing HRIS system.

  • Partners regularly with other members of the HR team to be point of contact for employee relations issues and conducts necessary investigations.

  • Work with members of the HR team to ensure policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • At peak times may assist other members of the HR team with high volume recruiting efforts for contract or permanent staff initiatives.

  • Maintain the HRIS system to ensure it is up to date and accurate by performing system audits on an as needed basis.

  • Create, review and present monthly reports.

  • Model established values and behaviors and coach others to be a culture add to the organization.

  • Responsible for reviewing and auditing all I-9 & E-Verify documentation for compliance with government rules and regulations; identifies areas for correction.

  • Monitors and administers employment practices to ensure compliance with FLSA, Wage & Hour, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, EEOC, ERISA, and applicable laws.

  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned
